Dear Friends,
Welcome to our new subscribers.
This is one of my favorite times of the year. We are on the cusp of the re-emergence
of nature around us. I rejoice when hearing the twitter of returning birds; temperatures are warming, and daylight hours increase. Hooray!! This is a perfect time to reflect on how you are doing with your New Year resolutions in bringing positive change to your lives. In most cases we tend to add ‘things’ to our busy lives, which can lead to over commitment. Taking care of self often falls by the way side. It is not too late to start, make changes or chart a new course in your quest for balance and being a healthier, fitter, happier you.
Wonders of Walking events, WOW Walk Club, and activities are a great way to stay motivated, challenge yourself & meet new people all by doing something healthy for
you . . . walking. Or, like to run? Join in the first Willamette Valley 10K walk / run on
July 21 traversing the Willamette River in Eugene, Oregon.
Enjoy,
Judy Have a story to share? I know you do! Please send to me.

Fitness Tip: Best Time to Exercise
When is the Best Time to Exercise? The best time to exercise is the time that's right for you. Morning workouts really get some people going, release endorphins, and enhance mood. If you enjoy starting your day with a workout, or find that it's the only time you can fit it into your schedule, stick with it. Others find afternoon or evening workouts productive and stress-relieving. Read this tip from American Council on Exercise for more.
"Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and
cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is
rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong. "
